Trammel Creek Rabbits

Welcome to Trammel Creek Rabbits. We are a small rabbitry located 40 miles north east of Nasville Tn with 12 holes for Standard Rex rabbits. There are four of us with me Philip, my girlfriend Christy, and two kids Andrea and Nathen. We are in the process of building a larger building to hopefully expand to at least 50 holes. We have only Rex at this time but we hope to include one maybe two other breeds.

We started this as a 4-H project for Andrea but in this county the 4-H only does a pet project and no shows. So we decided to join the ARBA and show rabbits at their shows. This was probably the best decision as we have met several other local breeders and have gained alot of info the easy way. Not to mention the fun of showing.

We met the Hustons at our first rabbit show. We did not have any rabbits yet but they helped us greatly by telling us where to begin. They have been in the hobby/business of rabbits for a long time and were directly responsible for helping us get off to the best start. The rabbit pictured below was bought from them a year ago. I cannot thank them enough and recommend that anyone new find a breeder and learn all you can. The Hustons helped us to select rabbits to breed and answered even the dumbest of questions always with a smile. Thanks to them and others like them!

This Fall 09 was the first show we attended with rabbits to show. Our first show was not a very good showing as I selected the two poorest rabbits we had. Andrea was still excited but let down at the same time. We learned alot from this and brought two of our best rabbits the next show. She won Best of Breed on one and Best of Varity (Castor) on the other. She is Hooked and so am I. See you at the show!
